2017 Kids Church Annual Christmas Musical

Praise Assembly Kids Church Presents The Christmas Dream Team Parade. Created by Celeste Clydesdale and arranged by David T. Clydesdale.

It’s Christmas Eve at the Carter home, and everyone is excited about the Christmas parade. However, the Carter kids begin to lose sight of the true reason we celebrate Christmas. This musical from Celeste and David T. Clydesdale combines fun songs and engaging drama to teach kids that Christmas is not simply about the gifts underneath the tree, but about the gift of Christ’s life. Join the adventure as the characters learn about the importance of following Jesus and celebrating His gift of life above everything else.

Moving Mountains

If you are interested in prayer at all, you want prayer that works. That is the kind of prayer at the center of this series. When we discover that prayer is not just asking God to do something -- prayer is partnership with God -- new possibilities open before us. We are God's sons and daughters, given the authority of Jesus Christ; we have a greater role in prayer than we ever though. Greater power, too.

Cost: Free; no registration necessary

A Simple Story, An Amazing Hope

Join us this Easter - Sunday, April 16

Sometimes the simple stories are the best. Like the Easter story: Jesus was an innocent man, wrongfully accused. He suffered. He died. He rose. But why? Actually, it was for you. The back story of Easter is about a God who loves and forgives. This Easter, come explore the Easter story in a new way at Praise Assembly. It's really an amazing story with a huge impact. We hope you'll join us!

Kindles for Pastors and Teachers

Message from Pastor Ben:

Thanks for helping us meet and exceed our Speed the Light goal in 2016. We gave $32,800 to help fund a Mobile Command Center for F.R.E.E. International to use to help those caught in human trafficking. We also purchased a sound system for Chi Alpha in Philadelphia and a rail pass for a missionary in Asia.

Africa's Hope is one of our projects for 2017. Read this excerpt from their website and partner with us as we partner with them.

Technology has opened many new doors for training in Africa. Ten years ago we could not have imagined a device that would allow us to supply an African pastor or teacher with hundreds of electronic books. Today, that possibility is a reality, and we have been able to bless hundreds of pastors and trainers with Kindles.

All over Africa we meet pastors who only have one Bible, and maybe two or three reference books in their personal library. Sometimes we meet pastors who only have a New Testament, or only a portion of a Bible.

Meet Pastor Paolo Nobrega

Paolo is a minister and Bible school student in Luanda, the capital of Angola. He exemplifies the kind of leader who desperately needs teaching, Bible study, and ministry resources like the ones we can send on a Kindle.

Paolo works with street youth and disabled children. He organizes a soccer camp (with 140 kids) and provides games and Bible studies for them each week. Paolo is the hands and feet of Jesus in their lives. For many of these kids, Paolo is how they get to know Jesus. He is their friend, big brother, and pastor! One of the stories Paolo will share is the miracle of Jesus’ birth. He will explain how the Savior of the world came from a humble place and a poor family (a situation these kids understand very well).

Like every African pastor, Paolo needs a special library of resources for such instances. He needs reference materials, ministry helps and Pentecostal theology to be able to prepare lessons and sermons. A Kindle will a library of books will offer all of these tools.

Provide a Kindle

Each Kindle contains over 900 books. For some pastors, a Kindle will be the only library they ever own.

We can provide a Kindle to a pastor for $100. Would you like to give one today?

Our Goal is to buy 150 Kindles for Africa's Hope.

Give in any church offering and write "STL" on the church envelope or give online

We can each do our part - $10, $25, $50, $100 or more makes a difference.
