Mark Series - Week 15 - Seeing Opportunity Through the Obstacles

Pastor Hans shared from Mark 7 about a woman who faced every reason to give up… but didn’t. What do you do when life throws barriers between you and what you’re praying for? This message reminds us that Jesus still meets faith that refuses to quit.

We also welcomed Pastor Bailey Giesbrecht as our new Youth Pastor and partook in Communion together as a church family.

Mark Series - Week 14 - Be Sharp in a Dull World

Pastor Hans reminded us that Jesus does not want His followers drifting through life spiritually dull. In Mark 7 He challenged the Pharisees and His own disciples not to trade God’s truth for empty tradition. What about us? Are we sharp to sin, to the condition of our hearts, and to where our lives are headed, or are we slipping into dullness? This message will push you to sharpen your faith where it matters most.

Keep Your Head in the Game! | 40th Anniversary with Rev. Bryan Koch

On our 40th anniversary as a church, we were honored to welcome Rev. Bryan Koch as our guest speaker.

Bryan served over 30 years as Lead Pastor of GT Church in Reading, PA, and now ministers with Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge. A former pro baseball player, his life was forever changed by injury and loss, yet his faith remained strong. His testimony reminded us that “if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.”

Mark Series - Week 13 - Clarity After the Storm

Why does Jesus often become clearest in the middle of the storm?

This week, Pastor Hans continued our Gospel of Mark series with a message from chapter 6 that reminds us of a hard but hopeful truth. The disciples had just seen Jesus multiply loaves and fish for thousands, yet when the storm came, their hearts were still hard. It wasn’t until He climbed into their boat and calmed the wind that they began to see Him for who He really was.

If you’ve ever wondered why your faith feels sharper in seasons of fear, struggle, or desperation, this message will help you recognize the moments when Jesus steps into your storm, and shows Himself as God.

The Role & Ministry of The Pastor

Today was a historic day at Praise Assembly as Rev. Robert Wise installed Pastor Hans as our new lead pastor.

Rev. Wise has served the church faithfully for over 40 years, pastoring in New Jersey and Massachusetts and later leading nearly 200 churches as Superintendent of the Southern New England District of the Assemblies of God. His wisdom, experience, and heart for the church were evident as he ministered on The Role and Ministry of the Pastor.

This service wasn’t just about titles or positions, it was about God’s calling, the shepherding of His people, and the future He is unfolding for our church family.

Mark Series - Week 12 - When Evil is Allowed Its Moment

It can feel like evil wins far too often. Tragedies fill the headlines, injustice goes unpunished, and God’s people sometimes suffer in ways that make no sense. Mark 6 records one of those moments: the brutal death of John the Baptist.

In this message, Pastor Hans wrestled with the tension of a world where evil seems to have its moment. But what looks like defeat may actually be God setting the stage for something greater.

If you’ve ever asked, “Where is God when the world feels out of control?” this word will help you see that His purposes never fail, even when darkness seems to.

Mark Series - Week 11 - A Strategy You Can Use

Some strategies change battles, but Jesus shared a strategy that can change lives.

In Mark 6, Pastor Hans walked us through how Jesus prepared His disciples to carry the message of the Kingdom. He sent them out together, taught them to depend fully on God, and showed them how to respond when rejection came.

This isn’t just history. It’s a call for us today to embrace the same priorities, even when following Christ means discomfort, dependence, or being misunderstood.

Mark Series - Week 10 - The Hardest Place to Shine

Ever felt dismissed, overlooked, or doubted by the people closest to you?

This Sunday, Pastor Hans opened Mark 6 with a message that may be uncomfortably familiar. Just like Jesus was rejected in His own hometown, we too can struggle to shine for Christ among family, friends, and those who think they already “know” us.

If you’ve ever wrestled with being taken lightly—or wondered how to keep living boldly for Jesus when those closest to you don’t believe—this is a message you can’t afford to miss.

Mark Series - Week 9 - Sent Away or Sent Out

This Sunday, Pastor Hans brought a gripping message from Mark 5 that forces us to wrestle with a sobering question: when Jesus disrupts our lives, will we send Him away… or be sent out by Him?

In the dramatic account of the demon-possessed man set free, we see two radically different responses—an entire region pleading for Jesus to leave, and one transformed man eager to follow Him. Pastor Hans unpacked why some reject the very One who brings hope, and why others can’t help but tell everyone what He’s done.

It’s a call to examine our hearts, our priorities, and our willingness to obey—even when following Him costs us something we thought we couldn’t give up.

Mark Series - Week 8 - This is How the Kingdom Works: Responsibilities

This week, Pastor Hans continued his impactful journey through the Gospel of Mark with a message that brought clarity and conviction about how the Kingdom of God really works.

While many expect the Kingdom to be flashy or forceful, Jesus paints a different picture—one rooted in responsibility, growth, and trust. Pastor Hans spoke directly to the tension we all feel: what’s our part, and what’s God’s? From hearing the Word, to stewarding what’s been planted, to trusting that God brings the increase, this message calls us to step up in obedience and step back in surrender.

Responsibility might not be popular, but it’s powerful when it’s Kingdom-centered.

Mark Series - Week 7 - Change of Soil, Change of Story

This week, Pastor Hans continued his deep dive into the Gospel of Mark with a powerful message on the condition of the human heart—and how it determines the course of your life.

From hard hearts to half hearts, shallow soil to fertile ground, Jesus' parable of the sower hits closer to home than we’d like to admit. But here’s the hope: if the soil changes, your story can too.

Pastor Hans calls us to examine our own hearts and respond to God’s Word with bold, life-altering obedience.

Mark Series - Week 6 - Family Matters...

What if Jesus told you your family wasn’t your family?

This morning, Pastor Hans delivered a bold, heartfelt message that cuts through comfort and speaks straight to the soul. Continuing his powerful series on the Gospel of Mark, he challenged us to consider what happens when love for family comes into conflict with our devotion to Christ.

It was more than a sermon—it was a moment of ministry, calling us to realign our hearts, reorder our priorities, and make Jesus Lord over everything.

Watch now and ask yourself: who (or what) comes first in your life?

Mark Series - Week 5 - Who Jesus Calls

Pastor Hans ministered this morning. In this powerful message from our series in the Gospel of Mark, we dive into a pivotal moment where Jesus climbs a mountain and makes one of the most significant decisions of His ministry—calling the twelve apostles. But here's the twist: these weren't religious elites or model citizens. They were teenagers, tradesmen, hotheads, zealots, and even a traitor.

So why them? And why you?

This sermon will challenge the way you think about calling, purpose, and the kind of people God chooses to change the world. If you’ve ever felt unqualified, this message is for you.

What if your limitations are exactly what qualifies you?
Don’t miss this. Watch now.

Mark Series - Week 4 - The Same Old Questions

Pastor Hans ministered this morning. In this message, Pastor Hans explores three pointed questions Jesus faced in Mark chapter 2—about His purpose, trust in God, and worship. These weren’t innocent inquiries—they were meant to challenge His mission and identity. But Jesus' responses, rooted in truth and authority, still speak to the same questions we wrestle with today. Who defines your purpose? Can you trust God without trying to control Him? And who—or what—do you really worship?

These aren’t just ancient questions… they’re your questions. Watch now to hear how Jesus’ answers could change everything.

Commit to the Lord

Pastor Brandon ministered this morning. This week's message shares a powerful reminder from Proverbs 16:3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” With honesty and heart, he challenges us to stop chasing “what ifs” and instead fully surrender our plans, dreams, and timing to God.

Through relatable humor, real-life struggles, and the inspiring story of Joseph, Pastor Brandon shows how God's favor follows faithfulness—not self-promotion. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, anxious about your future, or tempted to force your own way, this message is for you.

Mark Series - Week 3 - God is More Willing than You Think

Pastor Hans ministered this morning. In this message from our ongoing series in the book of Mark, Pastor Hans digs into one of Jesus’ earliest miracles and uncovers a deeper question—one that many of us quietly wrestle with: Is God actually willing to intervene in my life? Through a powerful encounter between Jesus and a desperate man, we begin to see just how passionate, personal, and even extravagant God's willingness really is. If you’ve ever wondered whether God sees your need—or cares to act—this message is for you.

But how did He navigate it all without losing direction? In this week’s message, Pastor explores what anchored Jesus during some of His busiest and most demanding days. What He reveals might just surprise you—and challenge how you handle your own pressures. Don’t miss this powerful look into the rhythm and resolve of Jesus.

Mark Series - Week 1 - Preparation

Pastor Hans ministered this morning. Today’s message launched our brand new series in the Gospel of Mark. On this Pentecost Sunday, we explored how God perfectly prepared the way for Jesus—with the right timing, the right messenger, and the right message. Just as John the Baptist called people to repentance, humility, and anticipation, we are reminded that God is actively preparing us today to experience the fullness of His promises.
Join us next week as we continue through Mark and uncover more about how Jesus was revealed to the world.

The Certainty of Change

Pastor Hans ministered this morning. In this powerful message, Pastor Hans delivers his first sermon as the new lead pastor of Praise Assembly. Drawing from the life of Joseph, he explores how God remains present and faithful through every season of change—whether painful, uncertain, or full of promise.

With heartfelt encouragement and biblical insight, Pastor Hans reminds us that the greatest truth we can cling to is this: God is with us. No matter what lies ahead, we can walk boldly into the future.

Final Words Part 4 - Pastor Petrucci's Retirement

Pastor Petrucci ministered this morning. Today we honored Pastor Petrucci and his wife Cathy as they step into retirement after 46 years of faithful ministry, including 26 years at Praise Assembly. In his final sermon, Pastor Petrucci shared a heartfelt two-part message—one to the congregation and one to the new lead pastor, Pastor Hans Pfadt.

To the church, he urged unity, cooperation, and a commitment to make ministry a joy, not a burden, for leadership. Quoting Hebrews 13 and Philippians 2, he reminded us that the church is called to shine like stars in a dark world, led by a single vision under one shepherd.

To Pastor Hans, he passed on the charge given to Peter—"Feed my sheep"—by emphasizing the balanced call to correct, rebuke, and encourage through preaching. He reflected on his shift to expository preaching as a way to let the Holy Spirit, not personal bias, do the convicting.

He closed with three “Above All” scriptures from Philippians, Colossians, and 1 Peter—urging everyone to live as citizens of heaven, to clothe ourselves in love, and to love each other deeply.

Following the message, we celebrated Pastor Petrucci and Cathy for their incredible legacy at Praise.
