Fall 2016 Abundance Electives

Our Fall 2016 Abundance Electives begin in just a few weeks. This is a chance for yet another fresh and meaningful start following failed New Years resolutions. Adults can take part in First Place 4 Health, Why in the World, Get out of the Boat, Discipline Them/Love Them, and Celebrate Recovery. There are meetings for kids and teens as well as childcare for the little ones. It all begins on Sunday, September 11 at 5:30 pm. Everything runs for one hour. Plan now to start a walk in Abundance.

Note: If you've already been through First Place 4 Health, you may attend again at no additional cost. Simply use the materials that you've already purchased.

Why in the World

One of the unique things Christians believe is that God became one of us. For thirty years he lived under cover as a carpenter, surfaced as a miracle worker and rabbi for three years, and allowed himself to die in the most degrading way imaginable. He came as one of us but was treated as less than one of us.

Why in the world would God do that?

All The Places To Go

Very rarely in the Bible does God command someone to “Stay”. He opens a door, and then he invites us to walk through it — into the unknown. And how we choose to respond will ultimately determine the life we will lead and the person we will become. In fact, to fail to embrace the open door is to miss the work God has made for us to do.

In All the Places To Go… How Will You Know?, bestselling author John Ortberg opens our eyes to the countless doors God places before us every day, teaches us how to recognize them, and gives us the encouragement to step out in faith and embrace all of the extraordinary opportunities that await.

So go ahead — walk through that door. You just might do something that lasts for eternity.

Discipline Them/Love Them

“Discipline Them/Love Them” is for parents with children of any age. This series focuses on using Biblical patterns for disciplining our children as well as building their self-esteem.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” (Psalm 127:3 NLT)

This series will be led by Pastor Michael Petrucci. Along with being the lead pastor at Praise Assembly, Pastor Petrucci holds a Masters in School Psychology and taught Behavioral Sciences at Rowan University at Gloucester County for 12 years.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 20 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.
