About Mike Petrucci
Director of Media and Communication
Mike grew up in Delaware and after moving all across the country, he’s back at Praise Assembly to work on new media projects for the church. He considers himself part idea junkie, gadget guy, and adventure seeker.
When not in front of a computer, Mike enjoys just about anything outdoors. Whether it’s hiking 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado or sleeping in snow cave survival shelters for fun, he’s a fan of the unusual.
His duties at Praise include connecting people to one another, both inside and outside of the church walls using various forms of media. Mike comes to us with years of video production experience through his time in the Multi-Media Institute at Oral Roberts University.
After graduating from ORU in 2007, Mike married his high school sweetheart, Jenni, and they’re the proud parents to a small menagerie of the 4 legged kind.
Mike put his skills to use immediately after college in the role of Chief Video Editor for an online Oklahoma travel and tourism news show. He was then promoted to become the Online Content Manager for a large oil and natural gas lobby in Washington, DC. The weekly energy and environmental news magazine aired online, through the local CBS affiliate, and Bloomberg cable television.
Most recently Mike was the Community Manager for a startup in Texas. Wearing many hats, Mike handled the social media channels, daily article development, back-end web maintenance, and photography for both new products and special events.
