Welcome to Virtual Kids Church: August 23, 2020

This week, Kids and Preteens look in Mark 2:1-12 to see how four friends creatively figure out how to help their sick friend get to Jesus. Their friend couldn’t walk, but they knew Jesus could heal him. When they get to Jesus, the room is so packed they need to find another way. They solve their problem by going in from the top. They pulled the roof apart and lowered him down. Not only did Jesus heal the man who couldn’t walk, but because of his faith He forgave the man’s sins as well.

Bottom Line: God created you to work with others. We can’t do everything on our own, nor should we. As kids are learning the importance of friendships, we hope they see that God put people in their life for a reason. They can work with those people to do more than they could accomplish on their own.

Preschoolers will focus on how God made them to talk to Him anytime, anywhere, about anything. . Just think about that! The God who made EVERYTHING wants us to talk to Him! Now that should definitely put a smile on your face!

PreK Experience (Ages 2-4)

We can talk to God anytime, anywhere, about anything! And God always hears you because you are very important to Him.

Kids Experience (Grades K-3)

Mark 2:1-12 Jesus came to hear Jesus from all over. Including man who could not walk, so his 4 friends lowered him into the house where Jesus was staying. Jesus could see the deep faith of the man and his friends. Jesus told man to get up, take his mat and go! The man was healed by the power of God and because his friends worked together to help bring him to Jesus. God created you to work with others!

Preteen Experience (Grades 4-5)

Jesus performed a miracle in front of a bunch of people who had gathered to hear Him speak. There was a group of friends who came up with a creative way to help their friend see Jesus. We all need people in our lives who can be there when we need them. Plus, we need to be people who are there when others need us. Question: How can working with others make you more creative?
