Praise Assembly Achieves Gold Level Disability Friendly Church Certification

Great news! Praise Assembly was recently certified a Gold Level Disability Friendly Church by Special Touch Ministry. This is the second highest level of Disability Friendly Certification available.

“Churches receiving this level of certification clearly show a desire to include and welcome people impacted by disability in all areas of their church programming. Amenities a Gold Level certified church may have include: accessible ramps to front entryway, wheelchair-accessible parking, braille materials, in-home supports, programming friendly to specific intellectual disabilities, and/or opportunities for people with disabilities to serve, a family-style restroom, buddy-system, supports for those with hearing and visual impairments, staff trained in disability ministry, and welcoming to service animals.”

Spread the news, Praise Assembly is a church that is welcoming to everyone with special needs.

Why in the World

One of the unique things Christians believe is that God became one of us. For thirty years he lived under cover as a carpenter, surfaced as a miracle worker and rabbi for three years, and allowed himself to die in the most degrading way imaginable. He came as one of us but was treated as less than one of us.

Why in the world would God do that?

All The Places To Go

Very rarely in the Bible does God command someone to “Stay”. He opens a door, and then he invites us to walk through it — into the unknown. And how we choose to respond will ultimately determine the life we will lead and the person we will become. In fact, to fail to embrace the open door is to miss the work God has made for us to do.

In All the Places To Go… How Will You Know?, bestselling author John Ortberg opens our eyes to the countless doors God places before us every day, teaches us how to recognize them, and gives us the encouragement to step out in faith and embrace all of the extraordinary opportunities that await.

So go ahead — walk through that door. You just might do something that lasts for eternity.

Discipline Them/Love Them

“Discipline Them/Love Them” is for parents with children of any age. This series focuses on using Biblical patterns for disciplining our children as well as building their self-esteem.

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” (Psalm 127:3 NLT)

This series will be led by Pastor Michael Petrucci. Along with being the lead pastor at Praise Assembly, Pastor Petrucci holds a Masters in School Psychology and taught Behavioral Sciences at Rowan University at Gloucester County for 12 years.

No cost or registration required.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 20 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process.
