Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ), for children in grades 3 - 5, was created and designed to help children develop a love for the Bible and an understanding that its Truth can guide their lives daily. This ministry offers a fun, exciting way to motivate children to understand the all-important truths in God’s Word. 

In JBQ, kids are placed on teams, to learn and understand the questions and answers from the Bible Fact-Pak.  The Bible Fact-Pak contains 576 carefully selected questions covering major persons, places, events, and teachings of the Bible.

Teams meet throughout the year, mostly on Sundays during the evening service, where they will study together and model some of the techniques they are taught for quizzing.  These group learning sessions are very important as they will prepare the kids for the highly competitive matches with teams from our section and district.

A quizzer who can answer all the Bible Fact-Pak questions will have the knowledge of what we believe in the Assemblies of God and be able to quote 107 Scripture verses.

The meets are truly a family event, where family members can assist the coaches in studying with their children and then supporting their kids at the competitions.

The coaches for Junior Bible Quiz are Lisa and Troy Frey.  They are blessed to have a long list of teens who are former JBQuizzers, who love this ministry and have offered to help in various areas such as serving as assistant coaches, and during the meets, as timekeepers and scorekeepers.

Though this year's meets have finished, we would love to start gearing up for the next academic year by at least assigning kids to teams.  So don't hesitate to contact us to get more information about how to get started for the new year which begins in August 2008!

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Keri and Nicky Paul Walters for their outstanding year.  Keri came in fifth place in our section, scoring 1375 total points, and Nicky came in tenth place, scoring 1040 total points.
