Women's Ministries—Unlimited!

More than you imagined

Our world is changing rapidly, and so are the needs of women. We as Christians must be relevant to those we want to reach. Women's Ministries—Unlimited! emphasizes the unlimited opportunities open to women for ministry in their local churches and communities. Every woman should be ministered to according to her need, and every born-again woman should be encouraged to find her place of ministry within the body of Christ.

It's more than a label, it's a lifestyle.

Many women today don't have the time or the interest in spending time at "just another meeting." We must reach out to women at the point of their needs. Women's Ministries can do this by offering various Ministry Groups. Living like Jesus and ministering to the needs of others should be a way of life for every Christian. People want to see that the Christ-controlled life makes a difference and gives meaning to their existence. Ministry to women and women ministering should be the lifestyle of Women's Ministries in every church.

Women have special gifts from God, one or more talents that He has blessed them with. Women's Ministries—Unlimited! helps women find their gifts, and then matches them to needs in the churches or communities, and empowers them to serve others with their talents.

It's more than service, it's servanthood.

Too many Christians today believe that service means "serve me." However, true servanthood is motivated by a loving concern for others. No greater example of this servanthood exists than in the life of Jesus Christ. Women can find many channels of opportunity to practice servanthood.

A variety of Ministry Groups can help teach biblical principles of leadership and practical tools for reaching and ministering to the women of this unique generation and diverse culture.

Tiffany — Sexual abuse ministryTiffany — Sexual abuse ministry

It's shocking to discover that many women have been abused at some point in their lives. Tiffany shares, "Our group started a class that will help survivors of this horrible tragedy find the joy of God that might have been missing from their lives. We use the Word of God as a guide to begin rebuilding the emotional damage these women suffered sometimes 20 or 30 years earlier."

Patty — Snuff Out Cancer prayer and support ministryPatty — Snuff Out Cancer prayer and support ministry

Patty tells about her ministry. "One of every eight women, or 190,000 women, will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year in America alone. Our church is providing prayer support for women struggling with the fear and depression this issue brings to them personally and within their families."

It's more than a program, it's a passion.

We must have passionate hearts to see women discover their God-given gifts and find their place of ministry within the body of Christ. Without passion in our leadership, women will not develop spiritually and their needs will go unmet. It is impossible for a leader to be effective if she isn't passionate about what she is doing.

Pam — Creative FriendzyPam — Creative Friendzy

"Women love to be creative, so the Lord dropped it in my heart to start a ministry called "Creative Friendzy." Pam describes Creative Friendzy as "taking women's natural tendencies to be busy and to do creative things, and putting them in a spiritual context. We take these talents and put them into an avenue that will encourage others."

Jeannie — One Way Out MinistriesJeannie — One Way Out Ministries

One Way Out Ministries is a ministry designed to help women leave the profession of exotic dancing. Jeannie says, "We have a real passion to see women get out of the destructive lifestyles they get caught up in. So we started One Way Out. It's giving women an avenue to find hope, a better job, childcare and most of all discipleship in Jesus."

Sarah — KickboxingSara — Kickboxing

Sarah teaches a kickboxing class that consists of 20 minutes of abdominal and back exercises followed by 45 minutes of cardiovascular exercise. Sarah says, "Women of my church are using this class as a ministry of outreach to women of the community."

It's more than a meeting, it's a mission.

The mission of Women's Ministries is to reach women, to disciple them and to help bring wholeness and balance to their lives. By providing an atmosphere for women to strengthen their gifts and by training them to find their places of ministry, women can successfully touch their world for Christ. The most effective way to reach women is at the local church level.

Debbie — The Least of These food and clothing ministryDebbie — "The Least of These" food and clothing ministry

Debbie remembers discovering there were countless people in her community and surrounding areas who were in great need. She states, "Several women in the church worked together to form 'The Least of These,' a food and clothing ministry in our area."

Rachel — Sexual abstinance classesRachel — Sexual abstinance classes

Rachel teaches sexual abstinence classes in local schools, camps and other settings. "There are a vast number of people outside the church just waiting to hear the gospel," Rachel shares. "Being part of Women's Ministries has opened up the door to many avenues of opportunity."

Through Women's Ministries many opportunities exist where every woman can be motivated to find her place of service. If you are not involved, ask God where He would have you begin.
